A LIST OF EARTHLY DELIGHTS

Hello, hello!
Sunny June greetings to you!
This Spring has been abundant with projects, both at home and in the studio. My hands have been so BUSY! Lately, I've been trying to make a mental list of all the little things making life feel especially sweet. I thought I should write it all down and share it with you, in no particular order:
Watching the peony I planted last year bloom for the first time
Tattooing SO many sweet people!
Painting my first commissioned mural
Calling my self a muralist now, cause I can!
Feeding blueberries to my chicken and listening to her happy little coos (it's a distinctly joyful sound that only blueberries can inspire)
Being offline (mostly)
Watching Jeopardy! and analyzing all of the contestants' personalities and wondering who Ken Jennings likes best (Jamie Ding, obviously)
Digging in my garden, forgetting what seeds I planted and playing is-it-a-weed-or-a-flower with all the seedlings popping up.
Going off-grid for five days of hot-springs bliss in the Oregon Cascades (life-changing)
Spotting a Lazuli Bunting for the first time (one of my top 10 wanna-see birds, so exciting!)
The poppies growing in my abandoned compost heap - no watering, no doting over, just absolutely thriving on their own independence and sunshine (inspiring!)
It's an incomplete list, to be sure. But it's a good start.
What's on your list? I wonder how similar, or how different, it might be from mine?
Here's a meadow of wild lupine thriving in Oregon, and the aforementioned compost poppies, simply living their best life.

Wishing you a wonderful June!
If life ever starts to feel like an abandoned compost heap, I hope you'll think of my poppies: find a little sunshine and bloom, in spit of it all.
